Endometriosis is a painful condition that affects many women. Its symptoms can often be debilitating. But you don’t have to live the pain, with natural Ayurveda endometriosis treatment you can be free from your symptoms and start living life to the fullest again.

What is Endometriosis?

Endometriosis is where the lining of the uterus grows outside of it. Commonly on parts of the lower gut. Endometriosis affects most women, but the intensity felt differs from person to person.

The most common symptoms of endometriosis are chronic pelvic pain, pain during menstruation, pain during intercourse, pain during bowel movements, repeated miscarriages.

What Causes Endometriosis?

The exact cause is unknown, but medical professionals do have a few theories.

The first theory is retrograde menstruation. This is where the blood and tissue flushed during menstruation flows back through the Fallopian tubes into the abdominal cavity.

The second is an anatomical abnormality. Where cells in different parts of the body change into the kind of cells found in the lining of the uterus.

These cases are very rare. Doctors also believe that surgery can cause endometriosis to spread.

What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is an ancient Indian system of medicine, based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a balance of mind, body, and spirit. Those who study Ayurveda believe each person is made of five elements ether, air, water, fire, and earth.

These elements combine to make the three doshas: Vata Dosha, Pitta Dosha, and Kapa Dosha. Each dosha is said to control a different body function. Each person has a unique mix of Doshas but is usually stronger than the others.

Ayurveda View of Endometriosis

In Ayurveda endometriosis is considered a Kapha Dosha problem because of the build-up of cells much like a tumor. It can also be considered a Pitta Dosha problem because of the blood, hormone, and inflammation nature of endometriosis.

As such, many Ayurveda practitioner suggests Nidan Parivarjan (removal of cause) is the first step of treatment and avoiding factors that may cause a flare-up of the symptoms.

The Nidan Parivarjan is implementing lifestyle changes such as quitting smoking, exercising more, and other changes as suggested by your practitioner. You will also have changes in your diet according to your body type.

These changes are very important in your treatment, these changes help to not flare-up your symptoms and help with the treatment process.

After Nidan Parivarjan implementing Pancha Karma is suggested to treat this ailment.

Then a lymphatic massage. Basti is an herbal enema and Nasya is nasal administrations. Treatment is set using part, or all of this method depending on the person and their ailment.
